Have you ever been cruising along, minding your own business, thinking everything is smooth sailing and then something happens that totally knocks you for a loop?  Like, takes the wind right out of your sails and leaves you shaking your head wondering what the heck just happened?  That’s what happened to me!  I worked for the same wonderful man for 22 years and then he had the nerve to think he should be able to retire at 70 years old, LOL!  So, brace yourself, he SOLD the company!  My comfortable little world was turned upside down. 

The new company slowly shipped off my entire bookkeeping job to their office in Iowa.  I was left doing things I really didn’t enjoy.  My world had always been debits and credits and now I wasn’t doing any of that.  So, after I caught my breath, I realized that this was an amazing opportunity for me to embark on a new journey, my journey.  One I would be in charge of and no one would go retiring on me and leaving me floundering around.  So here I am, middle aged and starting my own business, Griffin Accounting Services LLC.

Griffin Accounting Services was born out of my 22 years of experience from an accounts receivable clerk to the accounting manager of a company that did $12 million in sales annually.  My goal is to help small businesses by handling all the details of their bookkeeping, to free them up to handle the day to day operations and not worry about the details.  I love the details!!
